I heard from Chuck at the Chiari Care Center today, and I will be traveling to CO for my evaluation by Dr. Oro on 9/5. I'm so happy that I may see a light at the end of this dark tunnel!
Can any of you give me some advice on finding financial assistance for my trip?
Wonderful news! Dr Oro is wonderful.
They should send you a packet with lodging information. It has some information on hotel discount and I think a place to stay that is free for those with financial need. I’m not sure if you have any flexible spending healthcare funds but those can be used to pay for travel to medical appts.
Hopefully others will know of more resources for you.

Dr. Oro's office has teamed with the hospital auxillary to offer a little condo that is $30 per night. If you want to private message me, I will give you the contact number as soon as I can. It has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. No wi-fi though, so bring an aircard if you have one. It is a comfortable place about 2 blocks from Oro's office. I have stayed there once and am heading back to Denver tomorrow for my first visit with Dr. Oro himself, and staying there 2 more nights.
