Help! Falling down

Hello all. In a nutshell, my daughter,17, had decompression surgery 8 months ago. She still continued to have headaches but not as intense. Meaning she’s not throwing up everyday from pain. 3 weeks ago she had genioplasty (chin advancement) and septoplasty (deviated septum) for obstructive sleep apnea. She has healed nicely from that. Surgery and sleeping has improved. She has suddenly started having nausea and dizziness especially in the mornings. It takes her about 2 hours to get up and moving around. The dizziness is causing her to have to sit down. Just a few minutes ago I asked her to turn the switch to the fan on and she fell right down on the floor in front of me. She started crying because she said she keeps feeling like she’s going to pass out. She says everything gets black. I’ve been ignoring this for about a week to see if it would go away but it seems to be getting worse. Any advice?

POTS with Syncope/Presyncope it sounds like. Granted take that for what its worth. POTS patients usually do bad in the am and better in the pm for some reason.

I’ve not looked into POTS much. Thank you! I will definately do some research. She has an appointment on the 21st with NS. I’ll def bring it up to her. It has to be something going on.

Not double vision. She just describes it as “everything goes dark”. This makes the 3rd time she’s fallen in a month. She says her heart races when she stands up and she feels like she has to lay down.

Oh my gosh...I feel awful for you and for your daughter.

Yea it sucks. We have an appt. with the NL for an EEG and also with a cardiologist AND a GI doctor (for the nausea)
