Hello :)

Hi

I stumbled onto this site after a bit of research. I’m 41 and had a lamenictomy in June of 2014. This was after over a year of tests. As I’m sure many know, I was tested for many things including MS.

My surgeon, bless his heart, is in his mid 80’s!!! And still practicing! Some might have an issue with that, but he’s great at what he does and has a great team of experts/colleagues he confers with.

I was told shortly before surgery that if I didn’t have it, I could have easily been paralyzed or even dead within 6-12 months. As I’ve seen others say, I also have a syrinx in my spine. Initially, it was thought to be a tumor/cancer.

I’m currently waiting on the results of a recent mri to see if the syrinx has swollen again.

I could probably write a lot more, but I’ll stop lol. I’m glad to have found this site. I look forward to chatting and just reading posts.

Hey, meltoby07! It's nice to have you here with your positive outlook! :) It's great to hear how much you like your surgeon.
