Does anyone know of a good pediatric neurosurgeon / Chiari specialist in Michigan? My pediatrician is wonderful but isn't sure of the best practice to refer my son (12) to since his diagnosis of Chiari. In fact, her concern is sending him to someone too aggressive with surgery since his symptoms are not falling into the typical realm yet. So far no head/neck pain. He missed 7 weeks of school last year due to cyclical vomiting, has intermittent pain in his rt ear, a spot on his field of vision on the right side, intermittent tingling/numbness in his rt foot, phonophobia, worsening strabismis, and exhaustion to the point of falling asleep on the cafeteria floor every day while waiting for me to pick him up from school. Can anyone make any suggestions for a good pediatric doctor in Michigan?
