Facing another surgery

I spent another night in the ER last night. Starting leaking again. Wasn't as bad as last time but NS said should have stopped by now. My only option is for him to go back in & do the repair. I am terrified to have to do this again. Anyone who has had the repair - what was it like? Was the pain & recovery as bad as the 1st surgery? I keep hoping since he won't be doing as much it won't be quite as bad. I see him tomorrow to schedule everything. I will post again when I know more. Hope everyone has a good day

Becki,

I am so srry to hear that the leak hasn't resolved. I am praying for you and hope that you feel better soon.

That's awful... I'm so sorry to hear you've got to go through it again. You're in my thoughts!

Becki, so sorry to hear you're facing another surgery. Praying for an easy recovery and fast healing.

Becki, you can get through this. I'm so sorry you have to, but I'm thinking it should be a little easier. The surgery should be slightly less invasive, they probably won't have to keep you under for so long, all that kind of thing.

And, you've learned so much about how to deal with it, how to recover! For me, in the hospital, they would keep asking if I needed this pain med or the other one, and it took me basically until I was discharged to understand that one was fast-acting but wore off in less than an hour, while the other took longer to kick in but would last four hours or so. So I would get the quick one and then try to tough it out because I thought it was supposed to last for hours and I was a wimp! Nope, I just didn't understand the different meds. Maybe you and your hubby could make a list of what went well the first time, and what was hard, and your nurses will be even better able to manage your pain and any nausea and all that stuff.

And when this one is over, you can look forward to lying down flat someday soon! Hang in there, we're all rooting for you.

So sorry to hear. Hang in there!

I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep you in my prayers.

Can I ask where you had your first surgery at?
