I've had an increase in chiari symptoms over the past few weeks. I'm 3 1/2 mths post op. My PCP (my NS is 3 1/2 hrs away) ordered a new MRI which shows a seroma at the base of my skull. We are overnighting the MRI DVD to my NS for his review. My PCP thinks it could be a leak...is this possible 3 1/2 mths post op. I had a synthetic dural patch that was glued in place.
I have dizziness and positional headaches. My dizziness has gotten so much worse in the past 7 days or so. My "Chiari" headaches have increased and i just feel horrible. Even sitting still, the room moves..not spins..I'm right back to feeling almost like I did preoperative.
Maybe this is due to the seroma… Sorry this is happening. Let us know what your NS says about your MRI.
