Couple of procedures scheduled opinions

Tell me what y’all know:
Lumbar puncture (looked up on you tube ummm ouch).
Cine MRI with brain flow test
Optic nerve test (can’t remember the official name)
EKG or EEG can’t remember which

Lumbar puncture is kind of like a backwards epidural: they stick a needle into your spine and suck out some spinal fluid for testing. I've had two. They were scary but not necessarily painful.

CINE MRI is just the same as an MRI but with a heart monitor, I believe. If you've had an MRI, it will be pretty much the same deal.

Optic nerve test... You're going to see an ophthalmologist right? It's a fancy eye exam. They check to see if your optic nerve is swollen by dilating your pupils and looking at the back of your eyes.

EKG is your heart, EEG is your brain. They attach leads to measure the electrical activity of your heart/brain (depending on which test you're getting). Not so bad. :)

Good luck!

Love both answers I wanted to know what hurt also but they are doing it all in one day except the cine MRI and brain flow test that will be on Monday the bulk stuff ill be admitted into the hospital for a fun filled day of tests and the lp gurrrrl I’ve had three kiddos and two epidurals so I got this she did say it was going to take double the time because they are taking eight viles instead of the usual four (don’t know what that means) then I have to lay there for three hours after the procedure (what if I have to pee) then go home and lay for at least 24 hours. That doesn’t sound like my epidural. Where I gave birth cleaned up and got up and walked myself to the bathroom.

Not really sure ms I know also any kind of brain infections they are thinking chairi is causing some symptoms but there is something else going on right brain wise so they’re checking it out

ms can be diagnosed by mri, yes it shows lesions, they can also check it by lumbar puncture. i've been threw all of them to find out if i have ms. plus my cousin has ms so i have some of her mri reports
