Was just wondering has anybody ever worked with or know anyone that has worked with Doctors from Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Grosse Point, or Royal Oak, MI or at the Michigan Head & Spine Insitute? I recently discovered them and am looking for opinions.

I wish I could remember his name but I saw a Beaumont Doctor for a surgical second opinion. He was more conservative in regards to whether the symptoms I had were attributed to Chiari at all and stated that if I was his patient I wouldn't be considered for surgery. Now, I'm not saying this in a negative way at all. I know this doesn't really help you and I'm sorry. But he was very professional.

I am interested as well. My son was diagnosed w/ Chiari blocked CFS & 16mm tonsils. Surgery at Children's in Detroit Feb. 10th. He is still healing. Many life-long restrictions anything that would cause a whip lash effect. Bumper cars, contact sports, Cedar Pointe, bounce houses, trampolines...ect...alot to take for a 4 yr old. My middle (5 yrs old) daughter’s MRI came out fine. My oldest daughter (6 yrs old) had a MRI on Fri. Was admitted after MRI for serious asthma attack after. Her MRI showed Chairi 5mm no CFS blockage & opicificated sinuses & mastoiditus + had a 104 temp. IV antibiotics for three days & now 2 different antibiotics for 21 days to clear infections. Which is just a band aide as all of my kids and myself suffer from severe allergies/asthma & ear issues. I guess Chiari is not good for those who have sinus, ear, or allergies due to things being skewed in the brain per docs. We need to move to a better climate like AZ. I worry about good docs there though. She was just discharged this pm. We will see Neurosurgeon May 30th. My question is that now that two of my children have this all docs seen said that either my hubby or I must have it as it is unusual for 2 siblings to have it w/o a parent as well. I have many symptoms & have seen a neurologist for 3-4 yrs about 7 yrs ago. I sorta gave up. Now that I know this is real who is good in the Macomb/Oakland/Wayne county area?
i like my neurlogist which is in oakland county, he works out of providence hospital in novi. hes been my cousins nl for years she has ms. my aunt was in beaumont in royal oak for her heart it is a nice hospital
