Air pressure and headaches?

Does anyone feel like their headaches are worse when storms/bad weather are moving in? I think I am going to start monitoring the air pressure in relation to how I feel each day and see what happens.

Absolutely. I used to live out West and the Chinooks would hurt me so bad… and then I moved into Ontario, and the humidity and lake effect weather is just as killer.

I totally believe the weather has a lot to my headaches I had to tell my boss before she hired me that during the beginning of spring and fall that my headaches are bad and I ten to call in to work a lot during that time. Luckily I have a very understanding boss. I live in Northern Illinois where it can change hour to hour. No fun.

I get that problem too with weather changes... not just my head either. Some of my other joints will act up as well when there's less than favorable weather on the way. My knees were really giving me a hard time the last few days, though we didn't see any rain until this afternoon, and not much at that. Of course, the weather and elevation here in Colorado don't help much at all with pain issues related to joints, and the weather here can change pretty quickly.

I have noticed this as well! Also have a very tough time when it's foggy.

Low pressure weather systems really hurt my head.

Also, flying is a bad for me. It takes a couple of days for me to recover from a flight.

All my assorted conditions get worse with weather changes and varying air pressure. Emmaline posted a great article once that explains things pretty well:

I have just started paying attention to the barometric pressure and how it is affecting my headaches. I can flare up when it's hot and humid and when it's dry and cold. That seems to be the pattern so far. I think that before it rains, the pressure builds up and once it rains, the barometric pressure drops. This weekend is supposed to be over 30.10 and Monday, it's supposed to start raining for days, with a sharp drop in pressure. I will definitely be taking notice of how this affects me! Great topic!
