Abnormality of C1 C2?

This was discovered on initial xray with Chiropractor (as well as scoliosis which we know if related). Can't remember what it's called. Some kind of abnormality with the base of skull, C1, C2 ... Could it be related to Chiari 1?

scoliosis

I’m not sure, can you find out what the abnormality is?

Chiropractic Conclusion:

-Cervical hypolordosis

-Flattening of the cervical lordosis

-"Right inferior pelvic unleveling accompanied by shallow dextrolevorotatory thoracolumbar scoliosis" (I also have this.)

The doc says it's nothing to be concerned about at this point. But I'm just wondering if the first two are related to Chiari and if anyone else has something like this.

I have straightening of cervical lordosis- I believe caused by the car accident/whiplash. The natural lordotic curve straightens or reverses due to muscle spasm. Did you have a car accident? I don’t think the it comes with Chiari, but a lot if people have it from trauma.

Hi Jenn. This is my 15 yr old daughter. She’s never had a car accident or any other kind of major head trauma. She’s always been extremely clumsy and fallen many times :frowning: I have this straightening of the neck too. But the chiro had stated to us about something being abnormal other than that. I will ask him in the next visit. Not a big concern but more curious than anything. When it comes to our kids we want to know everything no matter how small.

I’m curious. The chiropractor isn’t adjusting her neck, is he?

Nope. I asked him not to and he has some other patients with chiari 1 & 2 as well. He just didn’t know what the slight abnormality could be and if related. But no concern even after xrays were reviewed by some kind of bone specialist.
