I’m 31 weeks pregnant and my Obgyn’s don’t seem to know much about chiari and don’t seem to concerned with labor. I had my first 3 naturally and my mother (who has Chiari as well) is demanding I get a c section this time. I can’t find much info anywhere to take to my doc appt on Monday to discuss this. I feel like I’m running out of time!! HELP!!! I just want to do what is best and don’t want to make my chiari worse!!
Chelsea, try typing in pregnancy and Chiari in the key word search box at the top of the discussions page. There should quite a few discussions on this. I have heard that vag labor triggers symptoms for some or can make ft hem worse for some- if not all mothers have this experience. I have also heard of a birthing method that is natural with no pushing, you just let the contractions do all the work. Congratulations, do you know if it’s girl or boy?
