Dear Chiari Friends, … Time for my joyous update…one week after surgery and I am out walking the property (we have 5 acres) with no gait or balance problems. Going up and down stairs one leg after the other. The best news came yesterday morning when I got out of bed, and my head tremor was gone! He told me to give that a month and it took just a week. I had lost the ability to smile due to the muscle involvement in my face but now I can’t keep a smile off it! Every time I think about the miracle Dr. Michael Rosner gave me, there it is again! Everyone I have contact with, that has had or knows about
this procedure, says it can only get better. I am so amazed with just a week, can’t imagine how great it will be in a year when full recovery is reached. You know when you loose yourself in very small increments over such a long period of time sometimes you hardly notice it slipping away or you write it off to your “old age”. Dr. R said he believed I had been compensating for a lot of problems for a very long time and again he was spot on! I thank each one of you for your kind thoughts and prayers for my surgery and recovery.
I truly am blessed with the miracle of having my life given back to me, great friends, a wonderful caring husband and my very skilled neurosurgeon! All my love, Quiltaholic
I am SO happy for you! It's always nice to hear of someone having the results they never dreamed of with the surgery. I'm newly diagnosed, so I don't know if surgery is in my future or not, but, if it is.....I pray for the same type of positive results! Congrats!!

Mandy,I am also a patient of Dr.Rosner,he is one of the pioneers in this field.My journey is similar to Karens 27yrs.of suffering before I found Dr.R.If you do come here I also live about 30 mins.from his office.I too recommend this Dr.he knows more than any other chiari specialist in this area and probably is the best.It will be worth the trip,friend me if you want to talk.You’ll be glad you made this move if you’re ready for decommpression,this surgery has given me a much better life,it is a miracle after many dark days and nights.
