I am headed to my NS on Thursday to schedule my surgery. Needless to say, I am really scared...
I am curious though,
What symptoms were alleviated after your surgery?
I'm really wondering what I can look forward to at this point. I am ready to live a life free from pain medication! I need a little positive reinforcement. =)

Everyone is different regarding pre and post op symptoms. Everyone. I know you are scared and worried and nervous. I really wish I could give you positive answers. Decompression surgery is just a treatment not a cure. Your NS cannot even truthfully tell you what symptoms will be relieved or if they are it will be permanently. Please know I am only telling you the truth and my intent is not to appear rude or uncaring. I hope & pray you will never have to even take an aspirin again.
