I have not posted for awhile, but I have still been here. I had my decompression last April. Was ok for awhile and then started having symptoms again around August. When I went back for my 6 month cine MRI it showed I had a leak and pseudomeningocele. So in November, I had surgery to repair it. My dura patch was deteriorating and gone from the right half so I got a new patch. After about 3 weeks I got what I thought was a cold which seemed to be getting better then I got really sick and I had pneumonia in both lungs. Antibiotics seemed to work so far. I have my follow up visit for that this Friday. I'm still hoping that I didn't cough any small holes in my new patch, but I seem to be doing ok and not having any leak type headaches.
Anyway, this has been such a journey. I can't even describe the emotional ups and downs that accompany finding out you have chiari and then dealing with it. But I just wanted to let y'all know that I started a blog and invite anyone interested to read. It is not really about horrifying journeys or all of my tests done or surgeries. It's basically just light, easy reading to hopefully brighten someones day. Suggestions are welcome for topics too. :)
