Up coming surgery

My daughter is having chiari 1 surgery probably next Tuesday at nshs Long Island..Dr. Rekate...any suggestions want we should ask at the pre-op on Friday? She is experiencing awful pain in the back of her head and vomiting....we believe a lot to do with the weather pressure...any tips on de-stressing prior to surgery...should we set up physical therapy and a visiting nurse post op now?
