Any one else feel like their body weighs you down? Like gravity is pulling you.
Yes, sure, that is often felt with anxiety as well. Could be Chiari causing anxiety then causing this feeling.
Really good question.I have exactly that feeling , especially when I lay down in bed .It feels like my bones are too heavy for my body to bear.Anyway, ,just another Chiari thing I guess.
Anxiety isn’t the issue, I’m a glass half full kind of gal but the sensation sucks all the same.
Daily...Do you feel like gravity is pulling you backward?
I do. I always thought it was the Lupus.
Wendy,
I too have this feeling often! Like gravity has increased just for me. I feel the push mostly on my head when I am sitting/standing. Like someone is standing behind me pressing a forefinger on my skull exerting a small amount of pressur, causing my head to dip. When I am emotionally burden, stressed by life and almost overwhelmed by everything, the press is constant. Almost as if my phycological burdens weigh down my entire body. Does this sound more like your experience?
Yes. My legs feel like they are dragging weights.
Yes, I feel like I have weights inside me and they also tend to shift to one side when I turn, say to answer a ringing phone or something like that. Doesn't have to be a fast turn either. Then they center again and just feel heavy.
All the time!
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?
That’s definitely how I feel sometimes after I take a nap. It takes all my might to pull myself up.
All of the time. I did also find out that I have an autoimmune disorder to go with everything else, and the doctors claim that is what is causing the feeling, but I still think it is Chiari related as well.
OMGoodness! So it's not just me! I was starting to feel a bit crazy! I experience (roughly) a group of 5 or so symptoms at a time, and they seem to switch out every other month or so (I call the worse symptoms my starters, moderate symptom set the 2nd string and mild symptom set the benchwarmers).
Sometimes, It feels like someone laid sandbags on all my limbs and put sticky mud in my path whereever I go. I have to work extra hard to lift my legs and walk. Reaching up for something can sometimes take a while. I feel like a sloth.
Other times it feels like someone is behind me pressing down on the top of my head and shoulders when I'm sitting down.
Lately it's been the latter. And as someone else mentioned, mine also gets worse if I'm stressed or forced to rush with something. It feels like someone turned up the gravitational force even more and it bares down on me further.
Exactly! And I can’t stay like this, I work for the police. There is no way I can return unless I get this fixed!
I feel like that all the time. Sometimes it takes all I have to stand and gravity is doing it's best to hold me down.
No not really, it’s a constant sensation if gravity pulling me over. Want to prop myself to assure I don’t fall. Even though I know I won’t. As far as in bed it feels like I weigh too much and am pressed into the mattress.
