Sleep paralysis - night sweats
Trouble breathing
Memory and loss for words
Dyslexia
Color blindness
Cold arm warm arm
Leg weakness (baby deer legs)
Left sided weakness
Hand problems (pencil)
Can’t lift arms (hair, guitar)
Ringing ears
Back/shoulder / neck pain cannot wear strap bras
Numbness (hips hands)
Rashes (chest legs arms look like hives. Happen randomly but mostly in shower)
Sensitivity to light sound smell
Raynauns
Dizzy
Pain above left ear - very sharp shooting

I am having all these symptoms, I’m not getting any better, but no one wants to operate
Any help is welcome

I forgot the one I mainly did this for. I feel like I’m underwater like really far away. Not necessarily an out of body thing but like I’m very far back from what’s going on. It takes me a long time to process and respond. My eyes are blurry and can’t focus, but I can still read words. It’s sooooooo annoying! I feel very drugged like I took a niquil and stayed awake

I have several of these.

Twitching/spasms- my eyelids, back,neck, traps

  • night sweats

    Memory loss

Cold arm warm arm- my feet are always cold

    Leg weakness (baby deer legs)

    Hand problems-occasionally, button pants

Can’t lift arms (hair, guitar- very weak

    Ringing ears

Back/shoulder / neck pain cannot wear bra straps- I wear a bigger size

    Numbness- hands

Rashes (chest legs arms look like hives. Happen randomly but mostly in shower)-I have rosacea and bumps on upper arms KP

Sensitivity to light sound smell- worse when I am having a horrible headache and pain in the back of my head

    Dizzy and vertigo

Pain above left ear - both my ears and the area behind and below.

This is my 2cents of what we share in symptoms. I def have brain fog and cannot think straight sometimes.

Oh and sometimes just laying down in my room and quiet can help.

I do this all the time and it is the scariest thing. I haven't found a doctor to actually diagnose me yet, still in that battle. They always ask me if I have taken any drugs, kid you not. NO but that is how I feel!

I was just diagnosed with Chiari 1 with a 7 mm herniation, spinal stenosis and degernative discs in my C4-C7 vertebrae and herniated disc in my lower back (L5?) seeing a Neurosurgeon for the 1st time on Monday and am very nervous about it. I actually do not want to have surgery if I can help it. But, I don't know if it can be helped. I am going to acupuncture 2-3 times a week and have just had a bilateral occipital nerve block this past Wednesday. They are looking to see if the headaches are possibly caused by Occipital Neuralgia.

What have they been doing to help your symptoms? You can send me a message anytime. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through such a hard time!! Good luck! And keep fighting!!

I have almost all of those symptoms :frowning: the biggest hurdle for me to get a diagnosis was the fact that my “headaches” presented as inner ear pain. I struggled between several MDs, 5 ear nose and throat docs, and 3 audiologists before I saw a neurologist that ordered an MRI for me.

If you are having a problem finding a neurosurgeon to operate, don’t give up! There are still severel surgeons out there that aren’t very well versed in the decompression surgery. This may be the time to start shopping for other doctors in bigger cities who have the experience.

I myself live in Alaska, and I am in CT right now with my family to get my care. I am going to be treated at Yale. Good places to look are the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NYU, and John’s Hopkins.

God bless and good luck!

Why forget Mayo? I have a good friend going there for her MS…

I did. They didn’t look much at my Chiari just my dysautonomia, which those symptoms can be caused by Chiari, but they didn’t seem to think so
