Anyone ever had surgery without a duraplasty and ended up needing a 2nd with duraplasty? How far apart? How did you know you needed another?

should the tonsils have changed? I was 25mm before surgery and I’m still 25mm 2 years after surgery.
Danielle, I would think that your tonsils should be at least somewhat retracted. If I were you I would also get another opinion from a different NS that didnt do your surgery.
Also, so sorry your feeling bad. It’s a horrible feeling to have no results from your surgery. I hope you can take at least a little comfort that others have been, and are, in the same boat. I hope you get the help you need for everything that needs to be fixed. You deserve to have a success story. Have you fully looked at hypermobility syndrome/Ehlers Danlos? It can cause cranio cervical and cervical instabilities that exhibit the same symptoms as Chiari. So, if your back to an NS please just check it out and be aware that MANY chiarians have it- and many suffer with it because no one ever mentioned it might be a possibility.
I haven’t. I’m not flexible so I didn’t think I have ehlers danlos. My doctor also checked for flat feet and I heard both of those are symptoms…
I felt awesome for almost 2 years before symptoms starting coming back and I just want to know why!
