Recommend a NS PA, MD area

Hey everyone!!! I'm looking for a NS for a second opinion. I currently see Dr. Bejjani in Pittsburgh, who is great. I would just like to get a second opinion. I'm not 100% convinced with Dr. Bejjani's plan, or thoughts. If you can recommend anyone that you have seen that would be really helpful. So far all I have found is Dr. Weingart out of John's Hopkins.

Thanks!!!

I saw Dr. Kobrine, he was incredible, He spent a lot of time with my parents and I explaining everything about my condition. He was very personable. He took time to review my films and even caught things the Radiologist missed when they read my MRI. Dr. Kobrine was also the doctor that saved Jim Brady (President Reagans press secretary), who was shot in the head while trying to protect President Reagan.

Thanks Shawnie48! Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to participate with my insurance :-(

I saw Dr. Kobrine, who was great but I am seeking a second opinion at Johns Hopkins with Jon David Weingart, MD 410-■■■■■■■■.

Expertise:

Acoustic Neuromas, Brain Cancer, Brain Tumors, Cervical Degenerative Disc Disease, Chiari Malformations, Gliomas, Lumbar Degenerative Disease, Neuro-Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pituitary Tumors, Primary Brain Tumors, Spina Bifida, Spinal Stenosis, Spondylolisthesis, Stereotactic Biopsy, Stereotactic Functional Surgery, Tethered Spinal Cord

I've had trouble getting into Hopkins, as they don't call back when I try to schedule an appointment but I will keep trying.

Thanks everyone! And Beeba...thanks for the extra info on Dr. Weingart. I think that is who I'm going to try. I'm of the scientific mind, so I can relate to the 2 words instead of 100. So it should be a good fit! :-)

Dr Ray Sekula - I would trust Ray with me or any family or friend that needed a NS for any reason. He is a CM specialist trained by Dr. Peter Jannetta. He is also incredibly funny and cares about his patients. You are not just a case that fits in a mould or doesn't. Dr Weingart and Dr. Henderson are incredible also. If you contact Dr. Henderson, Sabrina worked with me on an insurance issue and is great.
