When I was diagnosed, almost 10 years ago, my Chiari was measured at 7 mm. Three years later, I had a cervical spine MRI and my neurosurgeon stated that she and the radiologist thought that my Chiari was only at 1-2 mm. This year I had a basic brain MRI and my new neurologist said that my Chiari was currently at 9 mm. I was wondering if anyone else knows if there is anyway for the Chiari to shrink at times.
Mine was measured differently three times. my surgeon said it was the technician and the equipment; ie, how i was positioned and such.
