I just had a massage today (from shoulders down so no neck or head) and now I’m leaning to the right. I literally feel like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I have a 4mm herniation on the right side and I’m waiting to get in to the NS to see if I have any CSF blockage. Has this happened to anyone? Should I be concerned?
It is very typical to have poor gait with Chiari. Stumbeling, leaning, tripping and even falling. I get that feeling too. Are your ears bothering you at all? Sometimes inner ear issues can affect your balance. Have you had a c-spine mri to rule out spinal issues?
I suppose it is possible to have had a nerve either pinched or released with the massage, which could affect your body's motion and balance...
I have left arm numbness/pain and it just worsens when I rub my shoulder, but the muscle releases a bit giving some relief of the pain.
I would contact your Dr. for anything that is bothersome.
From time to time I get a pulled muscle or spasm in my neck or t-spine that makes one shoulder higher than the other and makes the rest of my torso kind of crooked.
