Joined the Y

I know excercise is something that seems like torture for us, but i decided to join the Y for 1 month to see how i like it and to see if i get any benefit from it for one month,

my reasonings were 1. other adults 2. more low or no impact machines 3. access to a pool 4. access to other types of classes if i so choose. 5. more family friendly and 6. not people who looked like perfect 10's like other gyms.

so, my first day was yesterday and i had time with a personal trainer which was great she did explain some of my issues to me, and their machines and classes etc...and I explained Chiari to her...

anyway after my "session" was over with her i spent time on the machines i was most interested in-- at my pace and i have to say ---these old muscles sure need some work LOL...but it was fun...

and while i was a bit achy yesterday not achy today which is AWESOME!! :D

I do ONLY NO impact machines, and NO WEIGHTS right now going at this slowly. and will eventually get into the pool..... they have this machine called nu-walk or something like that- typically used for people who have had hip and knee replacement, but its like an eliptical except you are sitting down i like this machine the best, and perfect for someone like me who have instability and can benefit from the movement..big time..

So it got me wondering anyone else go to any sort of gym? at some point i will get involved in the yoga classes- IF i continue to use it and enjoy it.

Good for you:) That’s awesome!
