I'm in 12 weeks of speech therapy and Im learning how to talk and to live with it. I dont think there is a cure. OMG dose anyone have this. I could use some input here.I am on lexxopro agin. I started to get depressed. Not because of my operation. Because of all the damage that I have. Seems like I'm chasing things all the time trying to repair fix change something. I have/had a mild version of dysathria. It has gotten better with my surgery, it's about the only thing that has gotten better. Have you had your decompression yet?
Update. I'm being scoped.Probly on Monday when I go back to get it done. We will know more then. Yes I had my decompression on May 7th 2012. I've gotten worse. It started befor my surgery. About a year. It's gotten so bad that it hurts at a pain leval of 5-6 when I try to speak. I'm to use an eraser board to talk right now. And am told the internet and e-mail is the way for me to go right now. I'm to avoid talking untill the scope. Ill be back tonite to cheak on my friends and to see if we have anyone to welcome. Thank you my dear friends I love you all.
Hi Twana,
I have had Micro Vascular Decompression surgery on compressed Cranial Nerves. I also deal with depression. I know what a monster that can be. You are the sweetest person. I wish I could make you feel better. Please always remember you have friends here. Leave me a message if I am not online. Please keep is posted...

Ask your NS or NL about compressed cranial nerves causing either Trigeminal or Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia. They both deal with Cranial Nerves that run to your face and neck. Are you having any pain or any other symptoms? I have Geniculate Neuralgia, it caused ice pick like stabbing pain to my ears & dizziness. It is very easy for Chiarians to have Cranial Nerve disorders. After My CM surgeries I couldn't swallow well. After my MVD surgery, I didn't produce enough tears in my right eye. Sometimes I wish we could be fixed as easy as a mechanic fixes a car.....
