Help deciphering Cervical MRI No Dr Appt yet

Hello friends, My Cervical MRI measured my Chiari a little smaller. A question I have is that I had it done first thing in the morning. Do they tend to herniate more later in the day when there is more swelling? It measured 5mm on my Brain Scan and 3 on my Cervical Scan. Also It says Disc protrusions and abnormalities of C5-6 and 7 with mild compression causing a "fairly thick rim of preserved CSF posteriorly. Does this mean the spinal fluid is building up and not flowing correctly? I can usually figure these out but the sites I have gone to have not helped me with these 2 questions. Thanks!!

Dd, I would assume exactly what you said for both issues. Also, some MRI machines are more detailed than others, so if your brain and c spine were done in different machines that could also account for the difference in the seen herniation. I’m glad you are getting some answers for your symptoms.
