Hi...just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Manty and i'm a 46 year old female who has only just been diagnosed with Chiari type 1. I have been experiencing drop attacks, occasional unbearable headaches especially when I cough, loss of feeling in my right arm and hand and vertigo.Most of these symptoms have been happening since 1986! I also have fusion of c5 and c6 along with basilar vagination. My neurologist has informed me yesterday that my symptoms are not chairi related because my headaches don't happen all the time so I have joined here in the hope that I can find some useful support and info. Tbh I'm not sure my neurologist is right and so I am going to see my gp to arrange for a second opinion.
