Hey everyone…so I had my 1st post surgery MRI and my neurosurgeon says he had expected for a better result. The fluid has not gone down much if at all and he says it could be a few different reasons one of which could be scar tissue. Well now my neurosurgeon tells me that if my symptoms come back the next surgery would be the shunt, but he also told me that if they did that I would most likely need repeat surgery every year and a half. Does anyone have any experience with the shunt for chiari?
Hi Mila, sorry I can’t help you with and information, since I have not had surgery. It sounds like you are dealing with a lot. So sorry to hear you may have to have more surgeries.
