My Autonomic doc had me left the head of my bed. This was for POTS/Dysautonomia. Do you do this for Chiari?
I just really question if I need my bed elevated. I wake up in the morning and when I start to walk its like I'm walking on broken glass. I wonder if I tried putting the bed back down if I'd get the same result.
Montie, I have not done it yet, but it is widely suggested for Chiari patients to lift the head of their bed. But I would suggest trying atleast a nap with it flat if it is giving you so much trouble.
A friend loaned me their recliner a few weeks ago and it's really made a difference for me. Before, I was sleeping propped up on many pillows but even that stopped helping. We have access to a bed that has a remote control to raise/lower the bed head, and we may try that if we can find the remotes!
Good luck!
