Ok, I have this terrible cough. When Icough my head feels as its about to explode! Can anyone suggest anything to help with this…please???
Don't try to stifle your cough at all. For me, that makes the pressure worse (same with a sneeze). Also, if you do have to cough, try to do it gently. I know that may sound contradictory, but just cough as gently as you can to get that cough urge out.
Finally, call your primary care physician or NS and get a strong prescription for cough suppressant. (They sometimes have codeine in them, which is the most powerful stuff I've been given. There could well be other things, too, but that's the one I know about.) Use it!
