Appointment with Dr Slavin

I had a trip planned to Chicago and wanted to add in a visit with a NS specialized in Chiari. I was only able to get an appt with Dr. Slavin. He was a recommendation off of this website from a former patient. Well let me say, Do NOT see this doctor.

After reviewing my MRI he came in the room and said "you do not have Chiari, I did not see any low lying tonsils" I was surprised. I had my binder in front of me, and I quickly turned the pages to my MRI images that has an arrow pointed to the tonsils with the words Low Lying Tonsils. Also in the report. I showed him and he said, oh well....... uh its to small to cause problems. Then started in on me about seeing a psychologist.

He also told me, my symptoms are classic anxiety. I wanted to punch him!!

** This guy is a frign joke** Do not see this Complete Moron. Sorry but Im so upset.

Im so upset that I changed my travel around to accomadate an appt with him. Costing me almost $400 extra, including a $90 round trip cab ride.

Im scheduled to see Dr Seiff in Las Vegas. Hoping he maybe able to give me insight. Im not looking for surgery, just answers. Dr Seiff worked with a Dr. Rosner years ago, and supposedly knows a lot about Chiari.

anyone know of him?

Oh and he did his dictation in front of me, and was saying, arm strenght. reflexes, blah blah blah is good, and normal.

Oh really.... because the guy didn't exam me at all! So hmmm his dictation is assuming. and he asked questions along the way as he is doing his dictation, because he realized he didn't know the answers. Guess he was in a hurry.

I waited over an hour to see him to.

Next appt is at the end of this month, hoping he will have some answers. Anyone know of a Dr. Rosner, he worked with him and supposedly deals with Chiari the same way, or beliefs or the same, somewhat the same practice. Wow, couldn't get that out. :-)

I already contacted them, and sent MRI etc... mine is not 3mm so he said NO reason to see him. But thanks.
