On a lighter note:
Since my 17 yr old daughter was just diagnosed a couple weeks ago, I've been frantically researching Chiari.
There's this adorable boy that she's had a crush on since last year. Hes also had a crush on her. They for some unknown reason,
won't pursue each other. It just so happens that he also has chiari and syringomyelia. He has already had decompression surgery.
When she told me that I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK! What are the chances of that? I'm so happy because he wants to be involved
In everything concerning her chiari. He's even asking who her dr's are and what treatments she had etc. oh my gosh, she's either met a
best friend or a soulmate. I'm having him and him mom over for dinner because I have a million and 1 questions. Lol
This is an amazing story and testimony in my opinion. Sometimes people are just put in our paths when we need them the most huh?
That is either a huge coincidence or Divine Intervention! I think people are put in our paths for a reason and this sounds like you and your daughter may have found a great friend! Hopefully his mom and you will hit it off and you will have someone to talk to and lean on during your daughter's treatment. Is your daughter going to have the surgery? I'm sure this boy will be great support having gone thru all this himself :) Wonderful connection!

Since we are not happy with our NL, I think we may go see his. Our NL obviously has little to no experience. I believe she met him for a reason.
