However, If I Have vertebrae That NEED work,Yet Not Ready For Decompression, Then Curious If This Acceptable…Ya Know ? . Anyhow. Thank You .God Bless You All…

Cervical Vertebral Fusion is generally done when instability/congenital malformation is present. Prior to surgery, I would recommend motor control exercises, exercises to improve a person’s sense of head awareness in space, and small muscle strengthening around the spine BEFORE surgery to see if positive results can be achieved. A good physical therapist is required, not someone who is only going to give isometric strengthening in some vaguely neutral head position. Give a shout if you would like to know questions to ask a physical therapist.
If vertebral instability is present, exercises have been done but surgery is still warranted, and Chiari malformation is indicating surgery, I personally would chose to have the two procedures done at the same time. Surgery location is similar and does not extend the time of the surgery considerably. Any one surgery/anaesthetic carries a risk, and I would rather minimize the frequency of surgery. Also, recovery can be lengthy for both and I would prefer to recover once given my roles in life. Also, the financial impact of recovery time cannot be ignored.
Do not borrow trouble though, as your physicians need to figure out what is going on before you jump into anything. Good luck in your medical journey
