Update from NS Appointment

Hi everyone,

I posted a few weeks ago, regarding headaches that have come back after my second surgery.

Just an update really.

I've seen my NS, who showed me a previous scan from April, which appeared to show scar tissue blocking the path between my spinal cord and brain. I've got a new MRI tomorrow evening to confirm whether this is still true or not.

If it's still true, then a third surgery will be on the cards, which would be a Third Ventriculostomy? Has anyone else had this surgery?

I'm back on the Diamox to try and relieve the pain, but the side effects make me feel like the living dead. I just want my life back, I feel worse than I did before all the surgeries.

It's hard when you don't know whether to hope for another surgery or not, Jessica. If there must be a surgery, I hope removing the scar tissue will give you some relief.

Did you get the bone decompression or the dural patch put in?

Sorry to hear of a possible 3rd surgery. Diamox made me feel the same way. The horrible taste in my mouth was the worst. Hopefully you get some relief soon.
