I am schefuled for decompression surgery on oct 25. This will be mu first surgery and hospital stay in my entire life. I’m a little afraid of survery and the unknown recovery but my dr says this will help with my pain. I hope he is right. This morning I woke up with another splitting headache, a lot of pressure and pain in my spine and my entire body especially the upper part was really swollen. (I’m not sure if the swollen part is related to the chiari and syrnix though). Is it possible that the syrnix (that use to ho from c3 to T7) has gotten larger causing the spine pressur/pain?
