I need some help I had decompression surgery 3 years ago... in the past 3 weeks I have been losing my vision randomly I'm in severe pain can't stop falling down I don't know what to do now everyone says you've been fixed and I'm not crazy, has anyone else had this problem... everyone looks at me like I'm crazy.... it's like enough already but I feel that way to and I'm the one living my life in horrible pain, and raising my daughter alone and I'm truly scared that I might not be able to care for her anymore... If anyone can help it would be welcomed... thanks everyone for listening to me ramble on...
You are not crazy! Chiari isn't something that has the 'miracle cure'. Having the decompression doens't mean the patient is fixed for life. You need to go see a doctor. My best guess is you should see the one who operated on you, since that doctor will will be the most informed about your individual condition. I think that would be the fastest and the best way to get some solid answers and a plan on how to get you better. There, ofcourse, is the possibility those symptoms are caused by something else. If you can't see your surgeon, try to get all your medical history about the decompression for your new doctor.
