New to chiari, need advice please

Hello! _
_ I am new to this site and Chiari, I only found out about 2 months ago… Looking for any advice on managing pain and info on Chiari specialist in PA/MD. Thanks in advance! emphasized text

Can you fill me in a little on your pain your having? What type of symptoms you are suffering from? Every Chiari warriors symptoms can be different and range from one symptom to 10.

@Andrea3 I have a lot of neck and shoulder pain, pressure in my head, ringing in my ears, dizziness, leg weakness, nerve pain in my legs, burning tingling in hands and feet, trouble swallowing, trouble sleeping, double vision, lower back pain, horrible pms cramps, confussion, and horrible short term memory. Everything comes and goes but have daily problems with all of these.

I had many of the same symptoms you describe plus some. When I had my surgery two years ago alot of those symptoms subsided slowly. Before surgery I tried many pain meds the only one that helped any at all with the headaches was fiorecet. I used a tens unit alot for spine and back pain. Learning to not push myself also helped. People may assume you’re just lazy or depressed ect… But we are the only ones that know our body! So rest frequently if possible. Hope this helps.
