Hello

Hello! I had my MRI on Tuesday, and my doctor is sending me straight to neurology. Do not stop on go, do not collect $200, go straight to neurology. BWHAHAHA. I am at 5mm. I do not think it is a big deal after reading some of the posts. However, all of the symptoms I have had from childhood, and up until now makes sense. I am not crazy. I am hoping to go to nuero with tons of information. I will not have surgery. I am currently in undergrad as a geology student, and will hopefully finish with a PhD in volcanology. I do not have time for surgery. Has anyone successfully avoided surgery?

Having Chiari doesn't mean you need to get surgery. If the symptoms aren't that bad, if you can have a normal life, don't think about the surgery. As a Chiari researcher said in a lecture I recently watched, some people will get worse, some will get better, but the vast majority will stay the same.

Hope you're having a nice day. :)
