Tomorrow I am having an SEP (somatosensory) test done. This is the final test I am doing before deciding whether or not I will need to have surgery. At least I hope it is. I can't think of anything else. I can't walk right and haven't been able to for over 6 weeks. No changes. My arms and legs are weak and ache and my legs wobble with every step. I probably should be using a walker, but then again, my arms would get sore from holding onto it. Anyway, when I talked to my Neurosurgeon last night about doing an EMG, he told me that test wouldn't be useful. That my walking issues aren't from my lower back. They are more likely from the cervical area or brain stem from the Chiari. So he ordered the SEP test and I am having it done tomorrow. I did find it on the internet and it is another electrode test. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this done and what it was like and if it helped determine anything?
I've not heard of it but please let us know how it goes!
