Quick question. One of the impressions for the flexion/extension xray of my cervical spine was ..... motion at C3 4 of 2mm....... Just wondering if anyone knows what that means? very little motion? too much motion? I googled it but didn't find much about it online. Thanks for your insight. I've been to see Dr. Oro who is willing to do surgery on me. I've decided to have surgery, but haven't been able to figure out the timing for when to have it and how to deal with all the financial aspects of it. I'm praying that I can listen to God's direction and timing and plan for me! I'm thankful for all of you and your insight and your strength in difficult times! You are all very brave and courageous. May God give you His strength for each day and moment! (By the way I would recommend Dr. Oro and his staff highly! I do believe it's worth the effort to go to a specialist.)
Marie, I think it is generally thought that up to 3mm of movement between cervical vertebrae is non-treatable- I don’t think it is “normal” just not enough to fuse. That’s great you had flexion extension X-rays done so you can keep an eye on that little bugger. Do you have Ehlers Danlos/hypermobility?
I think you will know when the time is right, Marie. Please keep us up to date in what and when you decide. You are brave and courageous!
