Feeling like you have a hangover in the mornings?

For the past two weeks (I’ve had this for a while but it has worsened in the last two weeks ) I have been waking up feeling kind of hung over I feel a slight buzz in my head every time I make a head movement I also feel a faint pain in my head and overall weakness . Chiari related? Can anything help it? My neurologist is not a chiari Specialist. I’m seeing a neurosurgeon specializing in chiari next month to see if he can ease my symptoms. I feel like I’m suffering everyday. Also this feeling lasts throughout the whole day and doesn’t matter how much sleep I get.

It could be but it could also be BPPV. (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) especially if its happening in the morning. Generally folks have fewer Chiari issues laying down unless there head is on too high a pillow. In any event one session with a PT experienced in BPPV can determine if it is and possibly even clear it up. The Epley manuever is very effective but despite all the DIY Guides is not a DIY project (the first time anyway) as also important is checking for downbeating nystagmus.

It is perfectly normal, not sure if you have had decompression surgery. When my family asks me what it’s like, I tell them, it’s like swimming from one side of a pool to another underwater holding your breath.
Then, it’s the feeling of vague disorientation, dizziness and vulnerableness you feel when you finally surface from being underwater. I feel that way all day, with usually some kind of head pain.
At least that is what mine is like.
Also, you will probably become a sleep addict. I am 45 and I notice each year it gets a little worse with weakness and fatigue. The quality of my life has drastically changed. Hopefully, this will not be your case. I however, have syringomyelia as well.
