Has anyone had success after cervical spinal fusion in lessening their Chiari symptoms? My NS believes that the reason my symptoms have escalated this past year is because of bulging discs restricting the flow of CSF as well as compression of the spinal nerves. I just want to know if fusion has helped others here. I'm afraid he'll fuse my spine and it won't help.

My NS basically said that he wanted to fix what he knew was broken 1st..cervical disk fusion....wait 6 mths then see where my sx's were...
So, that is what we did...I had fusion and that went well..quick recovery and eased some of the neck pain...however..after the 6 mth mark...went ahead and had decompression.
