As I recently wrote in a blog, I had a bout of nausea come out of nowhere on Tuesday, followed by a nasty headache not too long after. No warning… I was just standing outside chatting with my neighbor when it hit. It wasn’t even all that warm out, just very pleasant. I still have the headache, and today it’s been really trying to make its way back up to being severe like the last couple of days. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Liaspyre, sounds like dysautonomia to me. Chiari can cause a deregulation of our autonomic nervous system. Heart rate and blood pressure changes (seemingly out of nowhere) can cause nausea vomiting, sweating, vision changes, weakness. Many of us have POTS.
Electrolyte drinks help. Keeping hydrated is important, but more important we need salt. An electrophysiological cardiologist is the best doc to see about dysautonomia. Taking a beta blocker along with keeping up with my salt intake has almost eliminated those episodes.
Take care, Jenn
