My right tonsil is at 7mm, and the left is at 0mm. Dr. Oro said that it is highly unusual to have a difference like that, esp. where one of them is at zero.
He thinks either brain inflammation (pseudotumor?) is pushing one tonsil down, or the right tonsil is so big that it is squeezing the other one so that it can't move and drop down.
thoughts anyone?
Do any of you have one herniated tonsil and the other at zero?? what was the outcome?
I wonder.....and this is just an idea. Could it be possible for your tonsils to be so swollen they actually look like one, instead of two? I personally have never heard or read about having one tonsil enlarged and not the other. Does that mean you have two diagnoses??? CM0 on one tonsil & CM1 on the other? Did a Neuro Radiologist read your MRI or Dr. Oro? I have only heard really great things about him, but it never hurts to have another set of eyes look at your pictures. Maybe the large one is pushing the other out. Have you had a CINE MRI? Please don't feel alone....everything I have was very complicated. I have always told my daughter while she has been growing up......Who wants to be normal or average???? That is a grade C in school. That is boring......Your personality is not boring....I promise Dr. Oro will figure it out & I will do some research about tonsil differences.... You are with friends now....
