I just wanted to share this good news! Things are moving forward, finally! When all this first happened, I was directed to a neurosurgeon who rejected me, and then set up an appointment with a neurologist. That appointment was supposed to be at the end of this month, so in the meantime I saw a second neurosurgeon. The neurologist had a cancellation and I was able to see him today! He disagrees with the second neurosurgeon (the one I was able to see, who told me all my symptoms are because of my weight). Hooray! He really listened to what I had to say and is going to send the NS a note saying I deserve to have a CINE MRI! Yay! I had asked the NS about getting one and she said she doesn't order them for insurance reasons. (?!) He did question whether or not I knew about decompression surgery (yep) and if I was "eager" to have surgery. I thought about it for a second and said, "No, I'm not eager to have surgery. I am eager to find out what is causing me to feel so miserable and to halt the progressive damage that's being done to me." I don't know why people are surprised when it turns out I'm not stupid. :P So things are FINALLY moving! I am so thrilled! Hopefully this is just the start and I'll be getting the care I need and deserve soon! ---
