So i just spent a week in the hospital and i had to come home to find out my own sister broke in and stole allof my pain medications. Im in horrible pain so i went to the hospital to try and get more but they refuse until i bring them a police report stating my sister stole them. How can i call the police on my own sister. I believe what she needs is medical help for her addiction not jail. So now i have to suffer for her actions. im just so hurt, cant understand how my own blood could do this to me.
my simptoms are out of control and the pain. i can bearly walk im so disbalance im walking like a drunk person. the hospital only gave me perc 5 which dont help. we are trying to get her in rehab. now every hospital is too full because of the storm. my city has been destryed and alot of people hurt sothey said im not the main priority which i understand. i have no other choice but to suffer and its not fair.
I am a nurse and work in a surgery center. We also do a lot of pain procedures from several pain management physicians. Most of the physicians reguire their patients to sign an opiod contract to assure that there will be no issues of narcotic abuse. Many people tell us that their narcotics were stolen just to be able to get more drugs for whatever purpose they want. You would be surprised how much abuse there is. Many people just want to sell their prescriptions for monetary gain. Not giving them a police report makes you look bad. Your sister is not worrying about you at all.
You are suffering needlessly and making yourself look like a drug seeking individual in order to protect someone who obviously does not care about your situation. Do yourself and your sister a favor. FILE A POLICE REPORT!
Pdrum is right. You should file the report. Without filing since you already tried to get more, regardless of why, you will look like a drug seeker and this country has a large problems with people taking opiod meds to be high. You need to file on your sister or invest in a security system. Because she will try to get them again, the next time is she out and needing a fix without a connection. She is causing you undue pain and monetary loss, because not only are you suffering but now you will have to get those refilled; costing you dollars, after you file that police report.
I work for an insurance company in subrogation getting restitution from people that break into homes. Most of them when caught say the same thing........ I needed to feed my habit. If you don't file a PR you are enabling her habit.
Hurricane Sandy is causing pain due to the low pressure she brought with her. I'm sorry for your pain.
