Want to ask you about some new symptoms that have developed this past week with my daughter. I don't know how concerned to be.
Her eyes are both remaining dilated. They are having a much harder time focusing than they had been (she was already having issues with blurriness). Her throat is sore & her nose feels funny. She has an area that is swollen by her lower spine. The area is very painful. She already had tons of areas of pain that make it difficult for her to find a comfortable position & now this leaves her without any. She is constantly squirming & icing it. I don't know how serious it might be.
Vonda, has she seen a dr, since the dialted eyes have shown up? if not Id be making some calls. I havent heard of this myself but maybe others that have. I know pupil size can be unequal but not dialated.
She hasn't seen a doctor since her eyes have been dilated. I keep considering the Emergency Room, but she's hating hospitals, because they keep minimizing everything she's going through. I'm going to try to get her in tomorrow, but for sure she has an appointment on Tuesday.
Her pupils had been slightly different sizes, which I had found as a Chiari symptom, but didn't know about the dilation either.
I didn't think about calling her doctors. I don't know if any have weekend answering, but I will try it. Thanks for the idea.
I agree with everyone else. If this is something new and to have a lump on your spine should not happen. I know with my daughter she hates going to the er to. I know as a parent its hard because they do have good points on why not to go. I rather be safe and make sure its nothing serious. I would take her to the er.
