Potty Accidents after Chiari Decompression & Craniotomy

My son 4 is having 3-4 potty accidents for about 3 weeks now and it is progressively getting worse each day. He gets so upset & says that he just doesn't know why this happening. That prompted me to call Nuero. I called Nuerosurgeon & he said that I need to get him right in & have a MRI to look for syrinx or pockets of fluid. I am scared! Anyone else discover this happening to them? We also found out my daughter has Chiari 5mm last week after a weeklong catastrophe at Children's.

Ohh he had surgery Feb. 10th 2012. We found out Jan 4th 2012. Never knew what CM was before than & now it seems to be invading my family = ( HIs forehead hurts every single day too.

Thank you for your kind response. That was kind of you to post to check in on us. Thank you. I called early am & got the run around from the secretary. I called back in the pm & got the same run around that Dr. Ham did not put Parker's name in the urgent appt. list. I asked to have Dr. Ham call me to confirm that we wait till the 30th as that is when Parker's big sister (6yrs old) will be seen for her Chiari. I am confused and very concerned. Dr. Ham is the chief neurosurgeon at Children's in Detroit & excellent. He always personally returns phones calls & last night sounded as if the accidents was not normal. He also suggested he should be seen soon. I guess I assumed next say or day thereafter soon. Thank you for listening (or reading lol!) me rant. I am just very concerned. I am having surgery on Fri. am as I have a 70% whole in my ear drum & they are worried about my mastoid bones. Also my daughter spent a week in the hospital last week making me a bit on edge. Also, we just found about her Chiari after an intense asthma attack after MRI. Than acute sinusitis & ear infection requiring IV antibiotics. Than discharged only to return the next am as she could not bear weight on her legs. Hence somehow getting myositis!!! She is still recovering. So my nerves are a bit shot these days.
