Newly Diagnosed and don't know what to do, Naval Hospital won't help. TRICARE

Does anyone in here have Tricare insurance? I am having trouble with the Naval Hospital not being concerned with my problems and my insurance can't allow me to go anywhere else without the Naval Hospital releasing me which they will not do. I deserve to be able to find a doctor who will treat me. HELP
I have had headaches, been clumsy, bumped in to walls, poor memory, dizzyness, joint problems, so many symptoms all my life. i have been to the doctors and been told tension headaches to migraines all my life, never really being checked out. I have just been pushed from one medication to another, working for a short time and then not working.
Now I have Tricare insurance, I have been to the hospital a few times, I feel like I am at the end of my rope, my life is beig affected, I keep missing work, which means I don't get paid which means I cant pay my bills. I have a new civilian doctor and she is awesome, she immediatly sent me for a CT scan and then MRI. She refered me to a neurosurgeon and my problems begin. The insurance somehow sets me up with a pediatrician which I cant see because I m 26, then sending me to Portsmouth Naval Hospital. I get there they reschedule me, get there the next day for my next appointment and they tell me they are busy and have to reschedule me, well I go to Patient relations, throw a fit, and they see me that day. They send me for another MRI, a CSF Flow study, and all of a sudden they dont have any appointments available any time soon. They don't seem to concerned for my quality of life at all. I don't feel safe driving, I dont kno what to do, I cant work, I cant function, I cant even speak in full sentences, I cant get words out. I am not happy with the care they are giving me, I want to see someone who has worked with Chiari. I want to see someone who knows and cares. Myinsurance says I can see a civilian doctor but I have to call and get the naval hospital to release me. The naval hospital refuses to help me or act like it is a real problem, but they refuse to release me. what can i do? HELP!

Ok, going to try to do this where it makes sense cause i have pressure build up and isn't to fun (thankgod for backspace). Number one where do you live, that does help when using Tricare. I am a Navy Veteran so have aefw ideas to go from here. Also are you on FB. I have a pro that deals with Tricare alot who also is a Medical retired Navy I can get you into contact with. I will tell you right now you will play hell with getting the Naval Hospital to release you. Are you the vet or the spouse? That is important to know cause it will help with route to take. Also you need to start keeping journal who you talk to at Tricare and the Naval Hospital, names, times and dept etc. The military are pro's at giving run around.
Can you answer those questions for me and I will see where to go from there.

I also am on Tricare but the Air Force does not have full functioning hospitals anymore. I would suggest going to your Patient Advocate and state your complaint to them and see if that helps, we have had luck going through them before here.

The problem with the Navy is we have some of the best hospitals for neuro issues but are dicks when it comes to something not service connected.

Which Tricare do you have?? Standard? Prime? etc???

I live in Suffolk, VA which is tricare North region. Portsmouth Naval hospital is the thorn in my side right now. I am the spouse, not the active duty member. The B***H at the naval hospital was like we won't release you, you want to be seen then you can switch your care to standard and pay to go wherever you want. Excuse me, my husband works countless hours to earn the insurance that I have! I am on facebook, Stefanie Dawn Farrington.

Ok. I am going to send you a friend request and get you in touch with a man who's a pro at the red tape mess. That is a prime area....

I have Tricare Prime for the North region
