My heart grieves for your loss. Having lost a young grandson in an accident I know what kind of pain is involved in losing a young promising loved one, however, I can't imagine the additional pain (and I would have anger) in the loss of your son when an incompetent and seemingly uncaring surgeon doesn't know what he is doing. I hope you not only win your law suit, his license needs to be lifted. I will pray you can find some comfort in having had this beloved one in your life for 19 years. Let the joy of having had him begin to counter the pain of loss. Please let us know how you are doing.
