Do any of you know the technical definition of decompression surgery? No one needs to explain the procedure to me - trust me I know that!! But I had two surgeries that left the same scar but I only consider 1 a decompression. First one dr only went in and unblocked fluid. What is this called - other than a mistake? Both surgeries were billed as decompression but they were two very different procedures. You are all so much better at finding these great links than me. Heck took me a year to find this site!! Like is it once they cut your skull does that make it decompression? Or dura? Or skull or just more space? Hope I am making my question clear - sounded easier to explain in my head. Lol
