I understand being happy about this decision when one is faced with expensive long term health needs...but my fear is that the same health care we hope to have covered for us will no longer be available when the government and insurance companies deem it too expensive. All we have to do is look at Medicare to see what we may be forced into.

Thanks for the comment Lorreann. those are fair points. if you read Ben's quotes, he's lived the nightmare of having a pre-existing condition. Ben's experience having trouble finding support is one of the reasons we started the site.

Thank you so much for posting this. I was so relieved when it was upheld. Not only do I have Chiari but I am a mother of a Type1 Diabetic. I was very worried about him having problems finding insurence.
